Chris Rosato

Chris Rosato is incredibly proud to be a part of the WAFB news team working as a nightside reporter where he covers breaking news and the important stories that you need to know.

Chris is a Louisiana native, born and raised in Mandeville, LA. Both of his parents are from the state as well. His father, a retired Army veteran from New Orleans and his mother a lawyer from Baton Rouge. His grandfather even played for LSU and was a team captain in the class of 1955. Chris knows all about what it means to be from Louisiana and the values of food, family, and our unique way of life that we hold deep within our culture.

He recently joined the 9News team after just having graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in the Fall of 2020. While at Southeastern, Chris studied both broadcast journalism and public relations while also working with the award-winning newscast at The Southeastern Channel where he won several awards from the Associated Press, Southeast Journalist Conference, Louisiana Association of Broadcasters and College Broadcasters Inc. for his reporting and anchoring. He gives most of the credit for his achievements to the lessons he learned while at Riverside Military Academy where he graduated from in 2015.

Chris was not only involved in sports but in the arts as well.

"I ran track and played football and soccer while also performing in plays, usually as a lead role but no big deal," he said. "When I'm not working, I love golfing with my buds, catching up with friends, and spending time with my family and Godchild."
