Houston Astros’ Alex Bregman gives advice to young SWLA baseball talent, speaks on LSU baseball
Lake Charles, LA (KPLC) - Alex Bregman, All-Star third baseman for the Houston Astros is known for hitting bombs at Minute Made but he was in Lake Charles to promote his Breggy Bomb food products.
Bregman is a well know figure in Louisiana as he spent 3 years in Baton Rouge playing college ball for the LSU Tigers.
7News asked Bregman if he had advice for young baseball players in Southwest Louisiana as the high school season is about to start.
“I just say to have fun, continue to compete, play hard, listen to their coaches, be coachable, be a good teammate, go out there every day and play it like it’s your last game ever,” Bregman said. “We actually got to see a lot of baseball players here today and it was awesome to get to talk to them.”
Bregman was in Baton Rouge before arriving in SWLA and has high hopes for the number one ranked LSU Tigers baseball team.
“Definitely going to be rooting for him, watching every game, I got to speak with them yesterday and went and saw the team and got to see their final inner-squad and it looked great,” Bregman said.
